He’s known as the guy with the Midas touch when it comes to football. Some only know him by the name Coach Prime. Others know him as Neon Deion or simply Prime Time. He is making all-out waves as the latest head coach of the Colorado University Buffaloes. Football fans are abuzz with the fact that Deion Sanders is bringing his enthusiasm to a well-deserving team of talented athletes. Not only is the founder and CEO of Simply Pure, Wanda James, known for being the first legally licensed African-American dispensary owner in the country, but she also has close ties to the University of Colorado. Our CEO enrolled in CU Boulder via the Naval ROTC Program and then graduated soon after. Therefore, she is forever a fan of CU football and is ecstatic to see how the Neon Deion Sanders makes an impact.

The University of Colorado’s Board of Regents serves as one of the most vital entities for the University, including the direction of appropriations and funds. Wanda James was elected to the board as the Regent for the 1st Congressional District in 2023, making history as the first elected Black woman to hold a position on the board in more than four decades.

The Boulder Buffaloes Season with Deion Sanders So Far

Sanders is known for truly bringing it when it comes to generating hype among the masses. The new CU football season kicked off with attention from every direction, including a noteworthy new product from Dialed In Gummies. The team opened the season with an impressive 3-0 record, which has rarely ever happened with any other team with such a high loss record from the prior season. One of the three wins during the early season happened to be against Colorado State. This one college football game drew a record-breaking 9.3 million views on ESPN, making this one game the late-night college football game with the highest number of viewers in history.
