Who We Are

Wanda James and Scott Durrah, the first Black, veteran marijuana license holders in the nation, have been on a 14-year mission to address the stigma associated with the plant, fight for black ownership and participation, and redefine U.S. cannabis. Not forgetting their roots as medical cannabis patients, they honor their customers as a progressive and courageous force of change. Whether visiting the store to purchase products or simply learn more, Simply Pure wants its customers to feel cared for, recognized as important members of the community, and inspired to be positive ambassadors for cannabis.

Founded on July 1, 2010, Simply Pure made history as the first cannabis edible company to specialize in healthy alternatives, we revolutionized the edibles market.
